If your Mom and Dad are in the military, you have a very special family. Because of your family's sacrifice, millions of people are safe and live in peace. One of the benefits of being in a military family is having the opportunity to live in different place and experience different cultures. On the other hand moving often moving presents the challenge of making new friends. Here are five ideals to make your next move a little easier: 1. Be friendly Proverbs 18:24 (KJV) says, "A man who has friends must himself be friendly" 2. Get involved Do you like sport? How about music? Most friends share a common interest. Talk to your Mum or Dad about allowing you get involved in an activity you enjoy. 3. Be hospitable Find out the name of a brother or in the ministry or neighborhood. Ask your parent if you can invite him or her family over for dinner. Volunteer to help up clean afterwards. 4. Show and tell Talk to your teacher about having a time to show and tell. Bringing your favorite pictures, toy or snack to share with the ministry. |
